Universal Orlando in 2026 — Three Parks
The opening of Epic Universe in 2025 fundamentally changed the Universal Orlando experience. What was a 2-park resort is now a 3-park resort requiring multiple days to experience fully. This also means crowd patterns have shifted — on peak days, all three parks can be HIGH simultaneously. A 3-park pass is now highly recommended for any Universal Orlando visit.
In 2026, Epic Universe is still in its new-park novelty phase and consistently runs 1 crowd level higher than the baseline. When Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure are at LOW (level 2), Epic Universe is at MODERATE (level 3). Plan accordingly.
Hagrid's Wait Times by Month
Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure is the single biggest driver of crowd planning for Islands of Adventure. Here's what to expect:
| Month | Hagrid's Estimated Wait | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| January (mid) | 30–50 min | Very Good |
| May (mid) | 25–45 min | Excellent |
| September (mid) | 20–40 min | Best of Year |
| June-August | 90–180 min | Very Long |
| March (spring break) | 120–240 min | Avoid |
Should I Do Universal and Disney on the Same Trip?
Most visitors to Orlando combine both Universal and Disney World. With three Universal parks now, a well-paced 7–10 day trip can comfortably cover all parks. A common split: 4 days Disney World, 3 days Universal Orlando (1 each at USF, IOA, Epic Universe). On LOW crowd days, you can do USF and IOA in the same day with a park-to-park pass.
